Therapeutic and cosmetic Botox treatments for TMJ pain, bruxism, and facial aesthetics.
Botox is not just for cosmetic wrinkle reduction — it has important therapeutic applications in dentistry. At Grandville Dental Health Center, we use Botox to treat the muscle-related causes of TMJ pain, jaw clenching, and teeth grinding (bruxism), as well as for cosmetic facial rejuvenation around the mouth.
Our dentists are uniquely qualified to administer Botox in the oral and facial region. Their deep understanding of facial anatomy, muscle function, and occlusion makes them ideally suited to deliver precise, effective Botox therapy.
Call (616) 531-0360We evaluate your symptoms, discuss your goals, and determine if Botox therapy is appropriate for you.
We identify the specific muscles to be treated and determine the appropriate dosage.
Botox is injected into the targeted muscles using a very fine needle. The procedure takes about 15–30 minutes.
We schedule a follow-up appointment 2 weeks after treatment to assess the results and make any adjustments.
Botox therapy may be appropriate for patients experiencing jaw pain, headaches, or teeth grinding related to muscle hyperactivity; patients with TMJ dysfunction; and patients interested in cosmetic facial rejuvenation around the mouth and jaw area.
