Dental Crowns

Restore strength, function, and appearance to damaged or weakened teeth with custom-crafted dental crowns.

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that covers the entire visible portion of a tooth, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns are one of the most versatile restorations in dentistry, used to protect weakened teeth, restore broken or severely decayed teeth, and support dental bridges.

At Grandville Dental Health Center, we use high-quality all-ceramic and zirconia crowns that are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.

What to Expect

The Process

1

Examination & Preparation

We evaluate the tooth and prepare it by removing a small amount of enamel to create space for the crown.

2

Digital Impressions

We take precise digital impressions of your prepared tooth — no messy impression material needed.

3

Temporary Crown

A temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth while your permanent crown is being fabricated.

4

Crown Fabrication

Your custom crown is crafted by a skilled dental laboratory technician to match the color, shape, and size of your natural teeth.

5

Crown Placement

We remove the temporary crown, check the fit and appearance of the permanent crown, and cement it in place.

Is This Right for Me?

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Crowns are recommended for teeth that are severely decayed, cracked, broken, or significantly worn; teeth that have had root canal treatment; and teeth supporting a dental bridge.
